About MagicLab

MagicLab is a Shenzhen-based humanoid robotics company that has built a public profile through demonstration videos of the MagicBot Z1 performing parkour, acrobatic manoeuvres, and agility tests. The company uses these dramatic demonstrations as a signal of underlying locomotion capability, applying the principle that a robot capable of performing highly dynamic activities will have the locomotion robustness required for demanding real-world applications.

The parkour and acrobatics demonstrations require the MagicBot Z1 to rapidly plan and execute whole-body motions, recover from perturbations, and operate at the edge of dynamic stability, all of which are relevant capabilities for industrial and logistics applications where speed and robustness to unexpected events are valuable.

MagicLab represents a strand of Chinese humanoid development that emphasises dynamic capability and public demonstration as a path to commercial credibility, competing in the same attention landscape as Boston Dynamics' Atlas videos. The company is in active development and early commercialisation, engaging with potential industrial and research customers.

UK Market Presence

MagicLab does not currently have UK commercial operations. UK research institutions studying dynamic locomotion and biomechanics, as well as advanced industrial automation companies, would be the natural early adopters in the UK market. Direct import is possible through specialist robotics importers with appropriate expertise.

Buying Used MagicLab Equipment

No secondhand market for MagicLab platforms exists in the UK as of 2025. Any future used MagicBot Z1 units should be evaluated with particular attention to the condition of the high-dynamic-load joints and structural components, as parkour-scale dynamic operation accelerates wear. Full actuator health testing and structural inspection are essential before committing to a used purchase.
