About Mentee Robotics

Mentee Robotics was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in Israel. The company was established by veterans of Meta AI, including former researchers who worked on embodied AI and computer vision at scale. This background gives Mentee Robotics a distinctive approach grounded in large-scale machine learning rather than traditional control engineering, with the ambition to train humanoid robots to perform tasks by learning from data rather than explicit programming.

The company has raised over $17 million in seed and early-stage funding and is developing a full-size humanoid platform designed to be trained using imitation learning and reinforcement learning from demonstrations. The Meta AI heritage means the team has experience working with the kind of data infrastructure and model scale required to make learning-based robotic control practical.

Mentee Robotics is part of Israel's growing robotics and AI ecosystem, benefiting from strong academic ties to the Weizmann Institute, Tel Aviv University, and the Technion, as well as access to experienced AI talent from major technology companies.
