🇨🇳 Siasun Robot & Automation

About Siasun Robot and Automation

Siasun was founded in 2000 in Shenyang and is affiliated with the Shenyang Institute of Automation at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, giving it a research pedigree that distinguishes it from purely commercial robotics manufacturers. The company is China's largest domestic industrial robot maker by installed base and has been a key vehicle for reducing Chinese manufacturing dependence on imported automation equipment from Japan, Germany, and Switzerland.

Siasun's product range spans industrial robotic arms, collaborative robots, mobile robots, and specialised systems for the semiconductor and automotive sectors. The company benefits from long-standing relationships with large state-owned enterprises and has been involved in Chinese space programme ground support equipment, which has driven development of precision manipulation capabilities.

Listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Siasun has pursued international expansion through partnerships and exhibitions, though it remains predominantly a domestic Chinese market player. Their engineering base and manufacturing volume give them competitive pricing relative to established Western and Japanese brands.

Key Products

• SCR Series Collaborative Robots: Payload range from 3 to 20 kg for light assembly and inspection.
• SR Series Industrial Arms: Six-axis arms for welding, handling, and palletising applications.
• Mobile Robot Platforms: AMR and AGV systems for logistics and manufacturing material handling.
• Clean Room Robots: Specialised arms for semiconductor wafer handling and precision manufacturing.

UK Market Presence

Siasun has limited direct UK presence but has exhibited at major European trade fairs and is available through a small number of system integrators. UK pricing for their cobot range is competitive with established brands, typically 15 to 25 percent lower than equivalent Universal Robots or FANUC cobot specifications. Lead times and local support availability are the primary considerations for UK buyers.

Buying Used Siasun Equipment

Used Siasun robots appear occasionally through UK industrial equipment resellers and European auction platforms. Expect prices of £8,000 to £25,000 for used industrial arms depending on payload and age. Spare parts and firmware support can require direct engagement with Chinese suppliers, so establish the support chain before purchasing older units.
