About Westwood Robotics

Westwood Robotics is a US developer focused on the THEMIS humanoid series, with an emphasis on agile locomotion and precision manipulation. The company is in early development stage and has provided limited public information about its founding date, team, funding, or product specifications. THEMIS as a product name suggests potential defence or government sector interest given the association with tactical systems.

Agile locomotion combined with precision manipulation is one of the hardest technical combinations in humanoid robotics: locomotion systems optimised for speed and rough terrain introduce vibration and base instability that challenges precision arm control. Companies that solve this integration problem credibly have a genuinely differentiated platform. Westwood's claims in this area cannot currently be independently evaluated.
