This model is appreciating — demand is outpacing supply. Waiting for prices to fall is unlikely to pay off.

A used Thermomix TM6 in good condition with all accessories and clear Cookidoo account should be priced at £500 to £750. The TM6 retails at £1,249 new; a 40–60% used saving is typical for a unit under three years old in good condition. Avoid units priced below £400 — at that price point, blade condition, blade seal, and heating element should be independently verified.
The Cookidoo subscription (£39.99/year) unlocks the guided recipe library of over 90,000 recipes. Without a subscription, the TM6 operates in manual mode — all the hardware functions (heat, blend, stir, weigh) work without subscription, but guided recipes require an active account. A new owner creates their own Cookidoo account; the previous owner's subscription does not transfer.
Yes, for most buyers. The TM6 hardware changes slowly between generations — a 2021 or 2022 unit performs near-identically to a new one in kitchen use. The main variable is condition: blade sharpness, seal integrity, and heating accuracy. A Robot AutoTrader verified unit with confirmed heating test and blade check at £600 is a better purchase than an unverified eBay unit at £550.
The complete set: mixing bowl with blade, lid, measuring cup, spatula, varoma (steam tray with tray), simmering basket, and Butterfly whisk. The Varoma alone retails at £79 and the Butterfly whisk at £30; insist on the full set or discount accordingly. The calibration jug is a nice-to-have but not essential for daily use.
