Roborock
The S8 Pro Ultra is the all-rounder we measure other vacuum-mops against. LiDAR mapping is fast and accurate, the dual rubber brushes shrug off pet hair, and the RockDock handles emptying, mop washing and drying so you rarely touch it.
Best for
Mixed hard floors and rugs in a busy household that wants a hands-off machine.
Watch out for
The dock is large — measure the space first. Older models now discount heavily, so check used prices too.
Roborock
Roborock Qrevo
Rotating twin mop pads and a full-service dock at a lower price than the S8 range.
Dreame
Dreame L20 Ultra
Mop pads that swing out to reach skirting boards, and a dock that removes them on carpet.
Dreame
Dreame L10s Ultra
A previous-generation flagship that now sells for mid-range money.
