“Making the world's best robot accessible.”
China's leading consumer robotics company. Go2 is the world's best-selling robot dog; G1 is the most affordable full-size humanoid at $16,000.
Unitree Robotics was founded in Hangzhou, China in 2016 by Wang Xingxing, and has grown rapidly to become one of the world's most prominent consumer and research robotics companies. The company's rise was built on the Go series of quadruped robot dogs, achieving mass-market pricing by applying aggressive cost engineering and high-volume manufacturing to technology previously available only at research-grade prices.
The Go2 is currently the world's best-selling robot dog, combining capable locomotion, a rich developer SDK, and a price point that has made quadruped robotics accessible to universities, hobbyists, and small businesses. Unitree's ability to maintain competitive performance at consumer-competitive prices has redefined expectations for what a capable legged robot costs.
In the humanoid segment, the G1 represents one of the most affordable full-size bipedal humanoids on the market, undercutting Western competitors by a substantial margin. Unitree has demonstrated G1 performing dynamic manoeuvres and whole-body manipulation tasks, establishing it as a credible development platform. The H1 targets more demanding research and pre-commercial applications.
Unitree products are widely available in the UK through direct import from Unitree's international store and through authorised European distributors. Go2 units are priced from approximately £1,500 to £3,500 depending on configuration, making them accessible to individual researchers and smaller institutions. G1 pricing starts at around £10,000 to £16,000 for the standard configuration, representing significant value relative to Western humanoid competitors. UK import duties and VAT apply.
The secondhand market for Unitree products is more developed than most robotics companies, reflecting the large installed base. Used Go2 units regularly appear on eBay UK and specialist robotics forums at 50-70% of new price, typically £800 to £2,500 depending on generation and condition. For Go2, inspect all leg joint actuators for wear, verify the LiDAR and camera modules are functional, and check the battery health. Used G1 units are rarer but do appear occasionally; verify actuator health across all 23 degrees of freedom and confirm the compute module and SDK version. Unitree maintains software support for current platforms but check EOL status for older Go1 and A1 models before purchasing.
